Buy Certified Steel Elbows (EN 10253, DIN 2605) in Europe
UTMK supplies seamless and welded steel elbows complying with EN 10253, DIN 2605 (GOST 17375) standards. These fittings (also known as steel bends, knees, or angles) are essential for changing pipeline direction in high-pressure systems.
We offer elbows iwith diameters ranging from 21.3 mm to 630 mm. Our warehouses in Poland, Bulgaria, and Ukraine ensure fast delivery across Europe.
Just like pipes, elbows should be purchased based on the steel grade used in their production. Depending on the installation system, elbows are distinguished by the steel grade:
- P235GH (St20): Used for systems operating under high pressure and high temperatures.
- 13Mn6 (St10G2): Used for systems operating at temperatures from -70°C and under pressure.
- P355N (17G1S / 17GS): Used for producing rolled metal operating under normal conditions.
By manufacturing method, the following types of round section elbows are distinguished:
- Welded Sectional Elbows: Consist of sections joined by welding. Sections are made from steel sheets or pipe cuts. Often used in oil and heating pipelines. The bend of such a knee can be changed by adding or removing sections. Diameters range from 14 mm to 1620 mm. It is also possible to gradually change the nominal diameter to connect pipes with different cross-sections. Elbows are produced with 15, 30, 60, and 90-degree bends. Working temperature ranges from -30 to +300°C. However, weld seams limit their use to systems with working pressure not exceeding 25 atm.
- Seamless Cold-Drawn Elbows: Manufactured by stamping or pulling a billet over a horn-shaped core. These elbows are highly popular due to their durability, ensured by the absence of a weld seam. Available with bend angles of 45, 60, 90, and 180°. They can easily be used in systems with working pressure up to 100 atm.
- Stamped-Welded Elbows: Produced from stamped billets by welding. Bent billets are pressed from metal sheets and then welded together, resulting in two longitudinal seams. This method allows for manufacturing large diameter elbows (up to 1220 mm), which are in high demand for regional oil and gas pipelines. A key feature is the possibility of different nominal bores at each end for connecting systems with different cross-sections.
- Bent Elbows: Made from seamless or welded steel pipes on pipe-bending machines. This is the cheapest and simplest manufacturing method, but the quality may vary as the bending process deforms the part and thins the walls at the bend.
To make the right choice, it is recommended to consult specialists. For example, UTMK employees have years of experience in the metal market not only in Ukraine but also in Poland, Bulgaria, and other EU countries.
To ensure supply chain resilience and technical compliance, UTMK provides a complete piping solution. Alongside ISO-certified elbows, secure your network configuration with a Pipe Reducer and Butt Weld Tee. For critical infrastructure, integrate durable Flanges and high-pressure Seamless Boiler Tube. For corrosive environments demanding superior longevity, we recommend upgrading to the Stainless Butt Weld Elbow (90°/45°) to minimize operational risks.
