Buy Steel Flanges EN 1092-1 in Europe
UTMK supplies a complete range of steel flanges, including Plate (Flat), Weld Neck, and Blind types, complying with EN 1092-1 (Types 01, 11, 05) / DIN 2633 (GOST 12820/12821). We stock flanges in carbon steel P235GH (St20) and stainless steel AISI 304/321 for pressure ratings from PN6 to PN160. Our warehouses in Poland, Bulgaria, and Ukraine ensure rapid delivery of assembly kits across Europe.
A steel flange is a flat metal part with a sealing surface (gasket) in the form of a disk, square, or oval, made of various steel grades. It has special holes around the edges for bolts or studs for fastening. Threading in the holes is allowed for ease of connection. Flanges are used for hermetically connecting pipes to pipeline valves, various vessels, and other pipes when laying long pipeline structures. They are produced by several methods: cutting from sheet metal - used for manufacturing parts for systems with normal operating conditions; stamping, forging, casting - methods for manufacturing flanges subject to increased requirements for strength and reliability.
The production process is regulated by EN 1092-1 (and equivalents DIN / GOST), which describes the main parameters and characteristics required for the production of plate and weld neck flanges. According to this document, they can be divided into several types, namely:
- Steel plate (slip-on) flange. It is "slipped" onto the pipe and fastened to it by welding. The diameter of the hole is larger than the diameter of the pipe to which they are fastened, which allows the product to be placed on the pipe in any convenient position before welding.
- Steel loose flange on a welded ring. In terms of fastening method, it is very similar to the first type, with only one difference - fastening occurs by welding not the body of the part itself, but a special ring. The ring is welded to the pipe body, but the flange itself remains movable for ease of its further application. This also significantly simplifies its further maintenance or replacement;
- Steel loose flange on a lapped pipe end. For its installation, the pipe edge is processed. It is bent to make a flat base for fastening (lap), to which the body of the part is attached;
- Steel loose flange on a welding neck collar - this is the same flange on a ring, only instead of a ring, the part is welded to a collar, not a closed ring;
- Steel weld neck flange (butt weld) - welding of this type of part is performed not on the pipe body, but on its end face. The collar (neck) of the product has a diameter equal to the diameter of the pipe to which it is welded.
- Valve body flange - this is a flange placed on the body of pipeline valves. Its presence is provided for at the valve manufacturing stage.
- Blind flange - has no hole in the middle and is installed on the pipe end as a plug. Subsequently, it can be removed for further pipeline laying or any other work.
To maintain supply chain integrity and ensure leak-proof connections, UTMK offers a full ISO-compliant assembly. Pair your flanges with the correct Flange Gasket (Full Face & IBC) and connect via Welded Water & Gas Pipe (WGP). For complex piping configurations, we stock the essential Butt Weld Tee and Butt Weld Elbow. For environments requiring superior corrosion resistance, upgrade to a Stainless Flange to safeguard your infrastructure.
What is important to consider if you need to buy a steel flange?
A metal flange is always sold and applied in pairs (sets). It is also very important to select fastening parts (studs, bolts, nuts) from a similar or the same material as the product itself. This is done for better load distribution and to minimize the negative impact of environmental factors on the assembly. Therefore, the choice of not only the part but also the fasteners for it must be approached extremely responsibly. It is best to contact a specialized company that has proven itself well in the rolled metal market. One such company is UTMK. The catalog presents the following types:
- steel plate flanges according to EN 1092-1 / GOST 12820-80 made of P235GH (St20) steel with nominal diameter (DN) from 15 to 1400 mm and nominal pressure (PN) 6, 10, 16, and 25 bar.
- weld neck flanges according to EN 1092-1 / GOST 12821-80 made of P235GH (St20) steel with nominal diameter (DN) from 15 mm to 600 mm and nominal pressure (PN) 6, 10, 16, 25, 40, 63, 100, 160 bar.
- blind flanges made of P235GH (St20) steel with nominal diameter from 15 to 600 mm and nominal pressure (PN) 6, 10, 16, 25 bar.
It should be noted that retail prices are presented in the company's catalog. If you want to buy flanges wholesale, we will provide a good discount and help you select suitable fastening parts, insulating flange joints, and gaskets. Our metal warehouses are represented by branches in Poland, Bulgaria, and Ukraine, which allows us to organize the delivery of goods of any volume to any point in Europe quickly and at minimal prices. By starting cooperation with the UTMK team, you will never regret the choice made.
