In a special section of our catalog you can choose and purchase armor steel. The use of armored steel is very extensive. This material is the main one in the production of not only armored doors and windows, but also modern highly reliable and safe body armor.
We offer armored steel under the trade marks Swebor and Hardox (400, 450, 500, 600). How does this material differ from analogues? Made from high-strength and wear-resistant steel with high toughness coefficients, it undergoes a special quenching procedure at high and then low temperatures.
This increases the strength of the steel sheets, making them virtually invulnerable to any outside attack. Armored steel has become an important component of modern body armor, protecting its wearer from small arms fire and shrapnel.
Features
Bronestal is not lighter than its composite counterparts, but its protection class allows the material to be used in the harshest environments, including military operations. Having the best value for money, plates made of such steel are able to provide safety in the event of a damaging effect.
All existing armor steels are divided by protection class and armor plate thickness. Among the most famous brands of plates with a thickness of 5-7 mm, SWEBOR plates can be distinguished:
- Swebor Armor™ 560;
- Swebor Armor™ 600.
Finished ballistic and wear resistant grades in 6-8mm thicknesses:
- Armox 500;
- Armox 600;
- Swebor ArmorTM 500;
- Swebor ArmorTM 550 and equivalents.
For wearing in bulletproof vests, 6 and 7 mm plates are mainly used. In rare situations, options with a thickness of 8 mm are used.
