Conference on “Building Ceramics: Trends and Benefits 2018”

On May 15, the All-Ukrainian community of building materials manufacturers, within the framework of the international construction exhibition WorldBuild2018, organized and held a conference on the topic “Building Ceramics: Trends and Benefits 2018”. The purpose of the conference was to highlight and discuss topical issues and trends in the development of the industry, in particular:

• Building ceramics. New trends and trends in the development of the market in Ukraine and the world;
• Facing brick. Modern requirements and energy efficient solutions;
• Clinker brick. Achievements and new opportunities, modern technologies;
• Ceramic tiles. Trends, global and domestic opportunities;
• Comparative characteristics of modern properties of porous ceramic block and aerated concrete block D300;
• Ceramic plates for exterior and interior decoration. Market trends 2018.

The participants of the event were able to get acquainted with the reports of the heads of large manufacturing enterprises, technologists, representatives of research centers, namely:

• Irina Ogorodnik - Director, Head of the Research Center for Ceramics Technology;
• Yaroslav Ostrozhchuk - General Director of Zapadklinkergroup LLC;
• Tamila Kuzmenko - Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Atem Group of Companies;
• Valentin Shevetovsky - Chairman of the Supervisory Board of CJSC "Kharkiv Tile Plant";
• Igor Dalichuk - President of CJSC "Slobozhanskaya Construction Company" and many others.

Being a member of the Community, representatives of UTMK also took part in the conference. Of particular interest to employees was the discussion of the use of matrices, which are used in the production of ceramic building materials (brick, expanded clay blocks, cinder blocks). As a supplier of Swedish wear-resistant steel Hardox, a high-quality raw material for the production of die parts, the company's employees were especially interested in talking about die life, manufacturers' requirements for these products, as well as discussing ways to extend their service life. Events of this kind are always a great opportunity for new business acquaintances and the exchange of professional experience. And this time the conference "Building Ceramics: Trends and Benefits 2018" for the representatives of "UTMK" was no exception.
