Suggestion: Hardox 450 steel is great for things that need to withstand a lot of weight and work in tough situations. This idea is often used in the manufacture of quarry tools, waste containers and agricultural machinery. Suggestion: Steel that can withstand rough use and shaping well can last longer in things, meaning they don’t need to be repaired as often, which saves money.
The technological advantage of Hardox 450 steel is its adaptability. The process of handling this steel is simple, which allows workers to easily shape and manufacture special unique products that meet customer needs. This opens up new possibilities in engineering. and design, so that we can create really good products.
With its unique properties, Hardox 450 is now the basis for creative progress in various fields. Many people like it, and it is really good at helping companies work better and make more money. It is designed to last and work well for a long time.
HARDOX 450 is a wear-resistant sheet steel with a strength of 450 HBW, designed for applications requiring exceptional wear resistance and good cold bending properties.
HARDOX 450 provides excellent flexibility.
HARDOX 450 is used for the manufacture of Waste components, containers, crushers, screens, loading equipment, weigh tanks, skip hoists, cutting edges, conveyors, buckets, knives, gears, chain wheels, etc.

General technical requirements for delivery
Brochure 042-UK provides general information on the products WELDOX, HARDOX and ARMOX.
Heat treatment and production
The mechanical properties of HARDOX 450 are achieved by hardening and, if necessary, by additional heating. At the time of delivery, the material properties cannot be maintained at temperatures above 250 degrees Celsius (480 degrees Fahrenheit). HARDOX 450 steel is not suitable for further heat treatment. Information on welding and innovations can be found in the brochures on www.hardox.. com or contact technical support.
When welding, cutting, grinding or otherwise handling the material, appropriate safety precautions must be taken. During the sanding process, especially on primed sheets, a large amount of dust is generated. More detailed information is available from technical support upon request.
