The weight of one meter is 0.62 kg, with approximately 1612.9 meters per ton. Production involves hot rolling of preheated 60SiCr7 / 1.7108 structural spring steel slabs.
This steel is used for critical, highly loaded springs, thrust washers, brake bands, friction discs, gears, flanges, bearing housings, clamping and feed collets, and other components requiring high wear resistance under non-impact operating conditions.
