Description
Steel round bar 140 mm 19CrNi8 / 1.5924 is a cylindrical rod made of structural alloy steel grade 19CrNi8 / 1.5924 with a circular cross-section and a diameter of 140 mm. A running meter weighs 121.1 kg, with 8.28 meters of rolled product per ton. It is available from stock in lengths of 2–6 meters.
This round steel is produced by hot rolling a billet. The production standard is EN 10060 cert. 3.1 + CE. This steel grade exhibits good weldability when preheated. Enhanced ductility and strength are achieved through the presence of alloying elements such as chromium and nickel.
It is used for manufacturing large components subjected to high loads, such as piston pins, rollers, axles, and gears. It often serves as an intermediate stock for producing parts with a diameter exceeding 40 cm.
