Steel round bar 170 mm 40NiCr6 / 1.5711 is a solid rod with a circular cross-section and a diameter of 170 mm. It is manufactured by heating and deforming billets on rolling mills. The raw material consists of ingots and slabs made of structural chrome-nickel steel grade 40NiCr6 / 1.5711. The product complies with EN 10060 cert. 3.1 + CE standards. The standard length is 2–6 meters. One linear meter weighs 178.2 kg, with 5.61 meters per ton.

This round stock is characterized by high strength, though it is difficult to weld. It is primarily used to manufacture rolls for rail and structural steel mills, as well as heavy-section hot rolling mills. Furthermore, it is utilized in the mechanical engineering and instrument-making industries to produce components capable of withstanding high vibration and dynamic loads, such as shafts, rods, gear shafts, couplings, nipples, spindles, and bolts.
