Description
Steel round bar 180 mm 25MnCr5 / 1.7141 is a solid metal rod with a circular cross-section and a diameter of 180 mm to EN 10060 cert. 3.1 + CE. It is produced by passing preheated billets through rolling mill stands. The material used consists of steel ingots and slabs made of structural alloy steel.
The standard length of the bars is 3-6 m. One linear meter weighs 199.8 kg, and the length of one metric ton of rolled steel is approximately 5.01 m.
Steel round bars are used in the machine-building and machine-tool industries to produce components capable of withstanding high sliding speeds, such as collets, spring terminals, friction discs, gears, and crankshafts. In construction, they are used to reinforce columns and floor slabs.
