Description
Steel round bar 40 mm 58CrV4 / 1.8161 is a hot-rolled product made of structural spring steel grade 58CrV4 / 1.8161. The nominal diameter is 40 mm, with a standard length of 2–6 m. Product quality complies with EN 10060 cert. 3.1 + CE. The bar is manufactured using the hot-rolling method. The weight per linear meter is 9.86 kg, and one metric ton corresponds to approximately 101.4 m of rolled product. This steel grade exhibits good weldability.
It is widely used as a blank for manufacturing springs, leaf springs, thrust washers, brake bands, friction discs, gears, flanges, bearing housings, clamping and feeding collets, and other components requiring high wear resistance and operating under non-impact load conditions.
