The weight of one meter of rolled steel is 12.4 kg, and one ton contains 22 meters of steel. It is produced in accordance with GOST 4543 (EN10084) by deforming preheated slabs from 38X2MUI(41CrAlMo7), a chromium-alloyed structural heat-resistant steel, on rolling mills. It is used as a feedstock for long billets and forgings with hexagonal and square cross-sections, for steam and gas pipelines, superheaters, boilers, seamless pipes for various applications, and parts resistant to high temperatures. It is used to manufacture bushings for caterpillar tractors, in construction to strengthen foundations, vertical and horizontal structures.
