Description
Steel round bar 8 mm 60S2A (60SiCr7 / 1.7108) is a structural spring steel product made from grade 60S2A (60SiCr7 / 1.7108). The nominal diameter is 8 mm, and the standard length ranges from 2–6 m. Product quality complies with DSTU 4738:2007 ( ≈ EN 10060 cert. 3.1 + CE). It is produced by hot rolling on rolling mills. The theoretical weight of one linear meter is 0.39 kg, and one ton contains approximately 2564.1 meters of rolled stock.
This steel is used to manufacture friction discs, spring washers, lock washers (Grover washers), torsion shafts, and heavily loaded springs. Steel 60S2A allows for the production of springs that resist permanent deformation over extended service periods.
