Steel round bar 55 mm 58CrV4 / 1.8161 is a solid bar made of spring steel, grade 58CrV4 / 1.8161, with a round cross-section of 55 mm in diameter. A running meter weighs 18.65 kg. One ton contains approximately 53.6 meters of rolled steel. It is available in lengths of 2-6 meters.
The round bar is produced by hot rolling. The manufacturing standard is EN 10060 cert. 3.1 + CE.
This steel is used as a blank for critical and highly loaded springs, thrust washers, brake bands, friction discs, gears, flanges, bearing housings, clamping and feeding collets, and other parts requiring increased wear resistance under non-impact loads.
