A running meter weighs 39.46 kg. There are 25.3 meters of rolled steel in a ton. It is released from the warehouse in 2–6 m long sections.

Steel round bar is produced by repeatedly rolling heated ingots or slabs through a rolling mill. The production standard is EN 10060 cert. 3.1 + CE.
