Description
Wear plate 36 Hardox 450 is a premium wear-resistant steel produced by the Swedish concern SSAB under the Hardox brand.
The Brinell hardness of the sheet ranges from 425 to 475 HBW. The nominal thickness is 36 mm. Sheets with widths of 1.5 m and 2 m are available at UTMK metal depots, with a standard length of 6 m. The weight of a 1.5x6 m sheet is 2527.2 kg.
Due to its high strength and superior resistance to mechanical wear, this steel is ideal for manufacturing bucket components for dump trucks, bulldozers, and loaders. Heavy plate steel is also used for the side walls of mining shovels, as repair plates for dragline buckets, and in the construction of receiving hoppers.
