Wear plate 6 mm Hardox 450

Wear plate 6 Hardox 450 is a high-strength steel plate under the Hardox brand, produced by SSAB.

The sheet features a Brinell hardness of 425–475 HBW and a thickness of 6 mm. Sheets are available in widths of 1.5 m and 2 m, with a standard length of 6 m. The weight of a 1.5x6 m sheet is 421.2 kg, with approximately 2.37 sheets per metric ton.

This steel grade is designed for high-wear environments and exhibits excellent cold-bending properties.

It is widely used in the manufacturing of components for forestry and agricultural machinery, such as timber loader grapples, plowshares, chisels, press knives, and silage mixing trays. It is also utilized for road construction equipment parts, including bulldozers, excavators, and asphalt pavers.
