Wear-resistant plate 16 Hardox 500 is a high-strength steel plate under the Hardox brand. The production is carried out at the facilities of the Swedish concern SSAB.

The plate thickness is 16 mm. The Brinell hardness of the steel is 470 - 540 HBW. Plates are available with a width of 2 m and a length of 12 m. The weight of a single unit is 2995.4 kg.

Due to its high strength-to-weight ratio, this wear-resistant steel is used for armoring vehicles and buildings, as well as manufacturing targets, ballistic shields, and safes. These plates are also in high demand for the production of refuse truck bodies, excavator buckets, bulldozer blades, and heavy-duty tractor attachments subject to extreme wear.
