Wear plate 5 Hardox 500 is a high-strength, low-alloy steel sheet.

The thickness of the product is 5 mm. The sheets are available in dimensions of 1.5x6 m and 2x6 m. The weight of a 1.5x6 m sheet is 351 kg. One ton contains approximately 2.83 sheets. The Brinell hardness is 470–540 HBW.

Hardox steel is highly resistant to wear when exposed to abrasive minerals and rocks.

It is widely used in the production of crusher components, cutting edges for mechanical shovels, blades, and parts for dump trucks, bulldozers, and loaders. It is also utilized for civilian armoring of vehicles and facilities, as well as for manufacturing targets and ballistic shields for shooting ranges.
