Description
Steel Channel 14U (type UPN) is a hot rolled steel profile with a U-shaped cross-section. The type is equal-shelf, with sloping inner shelf edges. The height of the rolled product is 140 mm. The width is 58 mm. A running meter weighs 12.3 kg. There are 81.3 meters of rolled product in a ton. It is supplied in 12.05 m lengths.
In accordance with DSTU 3436 ( ≈ EN 10025-2 cert. 3.1 + CE), it is produced using hot-rolling technology by repeatedly crimping a billet of structural steel St3ps (S235 / S275JR+AR) with rollers.
It is used in building structures for rigid reinforcement of supporting parts, giving the metal structure special strength and rigidity. It is one of the most popular channel types. It is widely used in civil, industrial, private, and mechanical engineering.
