Steel Channel 8P (type UPE) is a hot rolled steel profile with a U-shaped cross-section, 80 mm high and 40 mm wide. It is an equal-shelf channel with parallel faces. One meter weighs 7.05 kg, with 141.84 meters per ton. It is available in measured lengths of 12.05 m and unmeasured lengths. Manufactured from St3ps (S235 / S275JR+AR) structural carbon steel according to DSTU 3436 ( ≈ EN 10025-2 cert. 3.1 + CE), using preheated billets.

Channels are load-bearing elements in building structures. They are used in structures, assemblies, and facilities subject to heavy loads, such as bridges, overpasses, floors, roofs, building wall frames, and pillars. This rolled steel shape is also suitable for enclosing high-voltage cables, gas and water pipes, and other utilities.
