Description
Seamless pipe 95x8 mm steel 17G1S ( S355 ) is a one-piece rolled pipe without a weld or other connection. It is manufactured from structural low-alloy steel grade 17G1S ( S355 ), conforming to DSTU 8938 ( ≈ EN 10216 / EN 10210 3.1 + CE ). The manufacturing process involves repeatedly passing a hollow cylindrical billet between rolls of a rolling mill. The pipe has an outer diameter of 95 mm and a wall thickness of 8 mm. A running meter weighs 17.2 kg, with 58.28 meters per ton. Available lengths range from 4 to 12 meters.
The increased strength of these pipes makes them suitable for demanding applications such as drilling rigs, pump and compressor units, and casing pipes in gas and oil wells to prevent rock falls. They are also used in rigs for drilling water and gas wells.
