There are 5 meters of rolled products in a ton. It is supplied from the warehouse in lengths of 2-6 meters. Round steel is produced by passing a hot billet through a rolling mill. The production standard is GOST 5950 (EN10060). Steel of this grade welds well when preheated. It is used for the production of various metal tools, such as measuring and cutting tools for which increased warping during hardening is unacceptable, threaded gauges, broaches, long taps, long reamers and other types of special tools, cold-forming dies and punches, and tooling for various machines.
