Description
Steel round bar 180 mm 90CrSi5 / 1.2108 is a smooth cylindrical bar made of tool alloy steel grade 90CrSi5 / 1.2108 with a diameter of 180 mm. A running meter weighs 200 kg, with 5.01 meters of rolled product per ton. It is supplied from the warehouse in lengths of 2–6 meters.
Steel round bar is produced by hot rolling. The production standard is EN 10060 cert. 3.1 + CE. This steel grade exhibits good weldability when preheated.
It is used for the production of various heavy industrial metal tools, such as large measuring and cutting tools where increased warping during hardening is unacceptable, heavy threaded gauges, structural broaches, and specialized heavy machinery components, cold-forming dies and punches, and tooling for various machines.
