Description
Steel round bar 240 mm 38XS is a smooth metal rod with a cross-sectional diameter of 240 mm. Quality is guaranteed by DSTU 4738:2007 ( ≈ EN 10060 cert. 3.1 + CE). The length of the rolled products is 2-6 meters. The weight of one meter of steel is 355.1 kg, with 2.8 meters per ton.
It is produced by hot rolling preheated billets of 38XS (38CrSi4 / 1.5201), a structural steel alloyed with chromium and silicon.
It is used as a billet for high-strength, wear-resistant parts such as gears, rollers, pins, couplings, and intake valves for tractor engines. It is also utilized in the automotive and aviation industries for spare parts manufacturing, as well as in construction for reinforcing foundations and vertical or horizontal structures.
