280 mm Steel Round Bar 38CrSi4 / 1.5201

Steel round bar 280 mm 38XS is a metal billet in the form of a bar with a circular cross-section and a diameter of 280 mm. The standard cut length is 2-6 m. A running meter weighs 483.1 kg, with 2.1 m of product per ton.

The rolled products are manufactured in accordance with DSTU 4738:2007 ( ≈ EN 10060 cert. 3.1 + CE) from 38XS (38CrSi4 / 1.5201) structural alloy steel. The material exhibits good weldability when the billet is preheated.

Such round bars are frequently used to manufacture small, high-strength components with strict wear resistance requirements, including gears, shafts, pins, couplings, tractor engine intake valves, and solid-rolled rings for various applications.
