Description
Steel round bar 80 mm 58CrV4 / 1.8161 is a cylindrical metal billet with an 80 mm diameter. It is produced according to EN 10060 cert. 3.1 + CE in lengths of 2-6 m. One meter weighs 39.46 kg, and one ton is approximately 25.3 m. Production involves forming preheated slabs of 58CrV4 / 1.8161 – a structural spring steel – on rolling mills.
This steel is used as a billet for demanding, high-load springs, thrust washers, brake bands, friction discs, gears, flanges, bearing housings, clamping and feeding collets, and other parts requiring increased wear resistance under non-impact loads.
