Description
Hardox 450 wear plate is a high-strength abrasion-resistant steel plate. Products are available in widths of 1.5 m or 2 m and a length of 6 m. The weight of a 1.5x6 m sheet is 280.8 kg, with approximately 3.56 sheets per metric ton.
The Brinell hardness ranges from 425 to 475 HBW.
Manufactured at SSAB facilities, this steel grade is engineered for high-wear environments and offers excellent cold-bending properties.
It is widely used in heavy machinery and agricultural engineering for the production of crushers, containers, and dump truck bodies. Hardox sheets are also in high demand within the defense industry for tank armor applications.
