Narrow gauge rail R18 (S24)

Rail R-18 is a type of structural steel used for narrow-gauge railroad rails with increased wear resistance and strength.

The product dimensions are: height - 108 mm, head width - 40 mm, sole width - 80 mm. The standard length is 12 m, and one running meter weighs 18 kg. One ton contains 55.6 m of rolled steel.

It is rolled in accordance with DSTU 3799-98 / GOST 6368-82 (≈ EN 13674-4, S18). It is produced by hot-rolling steel ingots on section mills from carbon steel grades PT70 (≈ R220), H50 (≈ R200), or T60 (≈ C60).

This steel is widely used in installing railroad tracks between enterprises or bases, as well as between stations with a 1520 mm gauge. It is also suitable for shunting and train operations, and as underground tracks in mines.

Rail R-18 can be purchased at UTMK's network of metal depots in Warsaw, Lodz, Krakow, and Poznan, Sofia, Varna, and Plovdiv. Delivery of lots above one ton is available throughout the EU, including to destinations in Germany, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, and Spain.
