Description

Steel Channel 40U (type UPN) is a hot rolled steel profile with a U-shaped cross-section. The type is equal-shelf, with sloped inner edges. The product is 400 mm high and 115 mm wide. A running meter weighs 48.3 kg. There are 20.7 meters of rolled steel in a ton. The length of the product is 12.05 meters.

The product mix of this type of rolled steel is governed by DSTU 3436 ( ≈ EN 10025-2 cert. 3.1 + CE). It is produced by multi-stage rolling on rolling mills from structural carbon steel billets of St3ps5 (S235 / S275JR +AR) grade.

It is used in construction, building reconstruction, laying utility lines, building frames, and water basins (storm drains, drainage). They are used to create columns, piles and other supporting structures, in machine tool building, automotive and shipbuilding.
