Description
Steel round bar 300 mm 38XS is a cylindrical rod made of structural alloy steel grade 38XS with a circular cross-section and a diameter of 300 mm. A running meter weighs 554.6 kg, with 1.8 m of rolled product per ton. It is available from stock in lengths of 2-6 meters.
Steel round bar is produced by hot rolling a billet. The production standards are DSTU 4738:2007 ( ≈ EN 10060 cert. 3.1 + CE). This steel grade exhibits good weldability when preheated.
It is used in mechanical engineering for manufacturing high-strength and wear-resistant components, such as gears, pins, couplings, and engine intake valves. It is also in demand as a raw material for producing seamless pipes and pipeline valves.
